How Artificial Intelligence is helping QuickBooks Online Users
Today, Intuit UK is set to launch the receipt capture feature in QuickBooks Online. Armed with optical character recognition (OCR), the receipt capture feature is helping QuickBooks Online (QBO) users to upload, email, or take pictures of receipts and supplier bills.
It is something they have enhanced greatly since January 2020. By then, it was only helping QuickBooks Online users, using the mobile app.
Bulk Bills/Receipts upload
Drag and drop receipts/manual bills in bulk into QuickBooks online. Even if they are crumpled, the OCR technology will automatically read and match fields like Supplier name, amount, Value Added Tax (VAT).
Email Upload
One can register users to send bills to receipts@quickbooks.com. They are then sent to the QuickBooks Online file automatically.
Phone Capture
Take photos of receipts/bills using your phone and use the screen capture to upload to QBO.
